Ysaÿe: The Complete Sonatas for Solo Violin, Op. 27 & Sonata

•This recording features Tedi Papavrami playing the solo violin Sonatas of Eugene Ysaÿe, an extraordinary violinist who in his time played a role comparable to that of Paganini in his. Ysaÿe dedicated each of these sonatas individually to a famous violin virtuoso of his time (Szigeti, Thibaud, Kreisler...). Maintaining an active career as a solo and chamber musician since the 1990's, Mr. Papavrami was appointed violin professor at the Haute École de Musique de Genève in 2008.
