This outstanding collection of trio music pays homage to genius jazz musicians McCoy Tyler, Duke Ellington, Chick Corea, Horace Silver, and more. Pianist Tim Ray joins with John Lockwood and Mark Walker to create a truly loving tribute. In addition to classics by jazz heroes, Ray also includes a couple of original pieces, which he co-wrote with Lockwood. Ray is also responsible for all of the arrangements on this album, which shine with their beautiful interplay and artful improvisation. Tim Ray is associate professor of piano at Berklee College of Music.
