VICTORY AT SEA

Right off the bat, let's mention that even though the title of this album is Victory At Sea, it includes the famous Richard Rodgers suite which is about eleven minutes long. All of the other arrangements of the music on this disc are made by members of the U.S. Navy Band which is the Navy's premier musical representative in Washington. Known as "the World's Finest" the Navy Band was established in 1925 by an Act of Congress. The Band has participated in eighteen Presidential Inaugurals and presents honors at the White House ceremonies and memorial services at Arlington National Cemetery. The Navy Band also presents public concerts in the metropolitan Washington area and tours the country annually. "This album is dedicated to the spirit of those who gave their lives in the service of their country to achieve Victory at Sea."
