This ArcoDiva release, all world premiere recordings, of sacred works by Johann Baptist Vaňhal (1739-1813), one of the many Bohemian artists working in 18th c. Vienna alongside — and together with — key figures of musical Classicism and early Romanticism, hosts the Czech Boys Choir Boni Pueri, the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice and Marek Štryncl, the leader of Musica Florea and expert conductor in music of the 18th c. Although the sacred music of Vaňhal can in no way be considered dance music, it still may evoke an inner "dance-like" manner in performance.
