TROIS ETUDES BLANCHES

On the occasion of Wilhelm Killmayer's 70th birthday, Schott WERGO presents a selection of the composer's works for piano. Works typical of his style in the nineties, like the collections of etudes and "Rundgesange und Morgenlieder" [Rounds and Aubades], are juxtaposed with scattered works from various periodes that the composer later organized into a cycle. The breadth of styles is striking here despite the differences in quantitative weighting evident in the selection.
