Consisting of two separate sessions that bridge the gap between these two great musicians past and present, drummer Buddy Rich and vibraphonist Lionel Hampton play through a number of jazz classics accompanied by the legendary pianist Teddy Wilson, tenor-saxophonist Zoot Sims and bassist George Duvivier, transitioning then into a more modern, jazz-funk hybrid backed by a larger ensemble featuring Sal Nistico on tenor, guitarist Jack Wilkins and the wonderful soprano of Joe Romano.
