Anke Dennert is an established accompanist and chamber musician, and studied recorder and historical instruments, minoring in harpsichord at the Hochschule fur Musik Hamburg. She has devoted much of her career to the revival of long-forgotten works, particularly those of female composers.; This is Anke Dennert’s GENUIN solo debut, although she has been a part of two ensemble productions prior to this release. Her skills transform this historical instrument into a something sensual, jubilant, and even amusing at times.; For this album, Dennert plays compositions by the revered Georg Philipp Telemann. Performed on a 300-year-old harpsichord, this album is a must for lovers of Baroque music.
