Stradello: Santa Editta

This new release is the third installment of the Stradella Project, this time exploring the composer's oratorio output. Stradella's oratorio Edith is featured here. The oratorio is named for Edith of Wilton, an English nun of noble birth born during the 10th century. Legend says that she refused to take the throne, choosing monastic life instead. Argentine soprano Veronica Cangemi performs in the title role.
