SONGS OF MERCY

All of GIA’s best artists have come together for this outstanding and unprecedented compilation album, released for the Jubilee Year of Mercy. Longstanding favorites like “We Are Called,” are cornerstones of this album, and are joined with new works, many of which were specifically composed for the Year of Mercy such as Marty Haugen’s “Be Merciful,” and Michael Joncas’ “A Place Called Home.” The 2016 Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy was announced by Pope Francis on March 13, 2015. It is the period between the Feast of the Immaculate Conception to the Feast of Christ the King, during which time Roman Catholicsfocus on God’s forgiveness and Mercy.
