This collection of works by composer Matyas Seiber is performed by the London Symphony Orchestra alongside the BBC Chorus. Seiber began his musical career as a cellist at the age of ten. When he began composition studies at the Budapest Academy of Music under Kodaly, his talent was quickly noticed. The recording of Ulysses: Cantata for Tenor Solo featured on this album is a BBC Archive Performance, broadcast May 21, 1972, with Alexander Young as the featured tenor.
