With Romane’s first fifteen albums due for reissue by Fremeaux & Associes over the coming weeks, nothing could be more timely than this first film live on DVD featuring Romane and his group. The Roots & Groove set was filmed using Studio Davout’s optimal sound-facilities installed at the Sunset club by Artstudio under Olivier Kowalski. Backed by the faultless, grooving rhythms of Mathieu Chatelain and Christophe Lagane, Romane exchanges his swinging guitar-lines with two other strong musical personalities: Christophe Cravero - effervescent on organ (and violin!) - and the surprising Henri Dorena on electric bass.
