This historically informed performance is recorded by Ensemble Amarilli, and is an exploration into the recreational music of the French nobility in Baroque and Rococo times. Corresponding to customary chamber music, the ensemble uses recorders, flutes, voices, viola da gamba, and harpsichord in various structures. The majority of these works were written by composers who lived under Louis XIV (the Sun King), and Louis XV.
