There is absolutely no point in introducing Claude Bolling. Both worlds, the old and the new, know that Claude Bolling is the best. I’m not going to detail his qualities here. I could overlook several of them and it would insult his modesty to again remind us that his verve as a composer can only match his virtuosity as a pianist, and that his arrangements only reach their orchestral supremacy when he himself acts as overseer.
