Michel Butor is a magician, a flavor enhancer, who skilfully juxtaposes cuts, colors, textures and lets us circulate between these blocks, these universes, seduction surprise ... He renews here in 28 interviews the perspectives on his work and his universe of creation, and reveals the subversiveness and the daily commitment of its linguistic alchemy - with sharing, emancipation, which is its horizon.” (Alain Siciliano) The central figure of the New Roman since the publication of La Modification in 1957, Michel Butor is a major writer of French literature of the twentieth century. These interviews offer a whole legacy. With his chosen words and sharp mind, Michel Butor guides, gives and amazes us. \\NAXUSSV-Store\Images\PhysicalImages\3561302569321.pt01.jpg 0_x000D_

The first album deals with traditional brass bands and the marches, polkas and traditional music for which Alsace is famous; the second is devoted to the musical heritage of today, which is very much alive and contributes to enlarging the modern repertoire. From the post war lyricists gathered around the famous Strasbourg cabaret Barabli (owned by Germain Muller and Mario Hirlé) to today’s singers, this music has been invaluable in helping to create and maintain the language, its special feeling for words, its humour and its poetry. This set highlights the famous Alsace identity: like that of its Belgian cousin, it was built on the constant questioning of its roots and future. \\NAXUSSV-Store\Images\PhysicalImages\3561302569420.pt01.jpg 0_x000D_

Thanks to those artists, Weill’s songs went straight into the Great American Songbook for good, writing a new chapter that erased the Berlin/Brecht imagery usually linked to the German composer of the world-famous Threepenny Opera. This release is a compilation of some of Kurt Weill’s most popular songs, performed by some of the world’s most famous musicians, including Ella Fitzgerald, Abbey Lincoln, Chet Baker, and many others. \\NAXUSSV-Store\Images\PhysicalImages\3561302569529.pt01.jpg 0_x000D_

Here Dany Lallemand brings together sixty titles from the first compositions by this accordion master, along with standards recorded between 1951 and 1962. All these are bravura pieces filled with a virtuosity and sensitivity that are a delight to hear. \\NAXUSSV-Store\Images\PhysicalImages\3561302569628.pt01.jpg 0_x000D_

This helps to explain how the self-taught composer who bridged the gap between the classical music of Europe and urban or rural forms in popular music went on to become his country’s most emblematic figure. His opus is a kaleidoscope of music ranging from pieces for guitar or piano to great orchestral ensembles where the cello takes the lion’s share. This release puts on display a variety of Villa-Lobos works, performed by some of the most respected artists in the genre, including Arthur Rubinstein, Julian Bream, Laurindo Almeida, and more. \\NAXUSSV-Store\Images\PhysicalImages\3561302569727.pt01.jpg 0_x000D_

This is the case for Napoleon d’Abel Gance. This blockbuster of contagious fervor, animated by unseen camera movements, has remained famous for its final triptych of unparalleled lyricism: the image expands and covers three juxtaposed screens. In order to better understand the creative genius of Abel Gance, the director Nelly Kaplan- who was a collaborator of the master- has extracted from the massive sound archives some forgotten and unpublished nuggets. She entrusts them today to Fremeaux and Associes. Through interviews, readings of texts and essays, the listener will become familiar with the director’s biographical journey, with his technical daring and his “machine poetry.” \\NAXUSSV-Store\Images\PhysicalImages\3561302569826.pt01.jpg 0_x000D_

But Bob had many other strings to his bow, as you can hear in this ’mezze’ of 24 songs. Wadie George Azzam, better known by his stage name Bob Azzam, (24 October 1925 in Cairo – 24 July 2004 in Monaco) was an Egyptian singer of Lebanese ancestry. With his international hit song Mustapha", Azzam achieved success in France in the 1960s. The track peaked at No. 23 in the UK Singles Chart, spending fourteen weeks in that chart. Azzam had a degree in electronic engineering, and has been regarded as the man behind the chamber of echoes "Hors-studio" or "off-studio"
