The new album Pasacalle from Monica Groop and Timo Korhonen, two leading Finnish musicians, is a collection of Spanish folk songs combining poetry and music. Monica Groop is known for a diverse career in the fields of opera, lieder and oratorios. She has worked at the Sibelius Academy since 2009 as a Professor of Vocal Arts.Guitarist Timo Korhonen travels the world as a soloist, chamber musician and popular host of master classes.He has performed in over 30 countries and premiered over 40 pieces by composers including Magnus Lindberg, Toshio Hosokawa and Kimmo Hakola.
