Three of Sweden’s leading musicians have formed a chamber trio and toured for over the past two years with fantastic response from critics and audiences alike. The trio consists of violinist Nils-Erik Sparf, cellist Andreas Brantelid, and guitarist David Harenstam. Paganini has always been a big part of the group’s concerts, and since Andreas plays on a Stradivarius that belonged to Paganini himself, and Nils-Erik plays a Stradivarius built in the very same year, the repertoire comes even more naturally for the trio. The group has included Paganini’s Serenata in C Major, Terzetto in D Major, and Terzetto Concertante in this programme. This album is superbly recorded by master sound engineer Leif Hesselberg and the sound is completely natural with the energy from a live performance kept intact.
