This brand new ArcoDiva recording features the sound of a newly restored organ (a copy of an original 17th c. baroque instrument) housed in the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul’s in Mělník, a historical town in middle Bohemia. The prominent Czech organist Aleš Bárta has been heard throughout Europe, the USA and Japan. Mr. Bárta is a frequent guest artist in his country and abroad, and his discography includes a complete traversal of J.S. Bach’s organ works, recorded in Japan. The varied program organized for this release contains organ works by Czech, German and other baroque masters.
