Sergiu Celidache was an exceptional versatile musician and he did not appreciate the standardized concert programs, usually presented by the musical societies to their subscribers and often he joined, during his exhibitions work and opera of very different taste and origin often with exceptional results. The 31st October in Venice, Celibidache presented as opening a great classic of repetorire Picture of an Exposition by Musorgskij-Ravel followed by a forgotten masterpiece the Sympgony in D Major by Cherubini, he closed the exibition with a track, unknown by the most of the public the ingenious Intrada composed just one year before by the Swedish composer and violinist Sven Erik Bäck ( 1919 - 1944 ). IDIS is very proud of this CD because Celibidache was always different from all his colleagues, he was able in giving a different meaning to the most famous music pages and in the same time, or during the same concert giving an exceptional vitality to the less known.
