Musicae belgicae: L'atelier de Rubens

Exhibitions and symposia on the work of the painter Peter Paul Rubens, which took place in Belgium from 1998 to 2014, were the main reason that led to this recording. The ensemble La Fenice was on a mission to help rediscovering the unjustly forgotten composers, all of them contemporaries of this universal genius, and their works. The relationship between music and painting soon becomes clear.
