Mezzotints demonstrates the continuum of the chamber music oeuvre in the contemporary era with solo and chamber works by internationally acclaimed Norwegian contemporary composer Ståle Kleiberg whose broad discography includes the Grammy nominated opera David and Bathsheba, and the widely performed 2004 chorale Requiem included in a Washington D.C. performance commemorating the 9/11 U.S. attacks. The inspired playing of Marianne Thorsen, violin; Øyvind Gimse, cello; Bård Monsen, violin; Ole Wuttudal, viola and Jørgen Larsen, piano bring to life the command, technical mastery and great expressiveness of these scores.
