With a selection of pieces traditionally regarded as studies, Pierre Hantai places himself in Johann Sebastian Bach's lineage as both disciple and master. A devoted pedagogue, Bach taught throughout his life. It takes profound artistic maturity to relive the experience of learning and recover the original emotion inspired by the beauty of these didactic works. An album to be heard as a masterclass.
