Although the oboe repertoire is comparatively rich, Clara Dent wanted to record a new program customized for her talents.Fascinated by the direct expression of the singing voice in opera, she asked Andreas N. Tarkmann to arrange an entire program of arias for her; the resulting album is La Prima Donna.Berlin-born Clara Dent began oboe studies at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg, finishing at Munich’s Hochschule für Musik.Ms. Dent has been Solo Oboist of the Rundfunk-Sinfonie-Orchestra Berlin since 1999, and professor at the Hochschule für Musik in Nürnberg since 2009.
