Kastalsky: Requiem For Fallen Brothers

A student of Tchaikovsky and a mentor of Rachmaninoff, Alexander Kastalsky was the director of the Moscow Synodal School until the Bolshevik regime banned all sacred music. Among the banned works was Katalsky’s own Requiem for Fallen Brothers. After its banning, the work lay untouched for more than a century. Now, the Orchestra of St. Luke’s presents its world premiere recording.
