François Jullien, a philosopher, a Hellenist and a French sinologist, proposes to put Western and Chinese thoughts into perspective in order to come back to the great founding notions of our way of understanding the world. The displacement invoked by Chinese thought offers valuable resources for perceiving our most buried cultural choices and interrogating them from within. By gap with the European vision based on modeling, goal setting and action, China thinks the experience in terms of silent transformations and maturing conditions.
