This release collects the best soundtracks from the 30-year collaboration between jazz legends Benny Carter, Dizzy Gillespie and Quincy Jones and Academy Award winning animators John and Faith Hubley. The music (all previously unreleased material) is powerful, soaring and exciting jazz from the beat era through the exploratory '60s and funky '70s. 15 selections featuring performances by Lionel Hampton, Jean-Luc Ponty, Maynard Ferguson, Shelly Mann, Thad Jones and others, as well as vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater.
