This volume represents one in a series of releases that preserve the Boston Symphony Orchestra concerts originally broadcast on national television in the 1950s, thanks to the efforts of its musical director at the time, Charles Munch (1861-1968). The program contains interpretations of two pieces performed at Harvard's Sanders Theatre: Anton Bruckner's Symphony No. 7 in E Major (February 18, 1958) and Franz Joseph Haydn's Symphony No. 98 in B Flat Major (October 18, 1960).
