In 1987, Robert Mugge completed HAWAIIAN RAINBOW about the many styles of Hawaiian music. In 1989, with the help of kumu hula (master dance teacher) Vicky Holt Takamine, he completed KUMU HULA: KEEPERS OF A CULTURE about the ancient and modern traditions of Hawaiian dance. For the first time, these two 85-minute films are being released together as the perfect introduction to Hawaiian culture. Transferred to HD from the original 16mm film and lovingly restored.
