This CD brings late Gothic sacred and secular music from Silesia to life again. Masterful and intimate music from a time when the Middle Ages were drawing to a close and the Renaissance was starting to emerge - not from one of the great music centers of the time, but from an exceptionally fruitful cultural landscape. With such a highly developed culture, it is unsurprising that the Glogau Cathedral is the origin for the manuscript that we know today as the "Glogau Songbook".
