Concerned with issues regarding authenticity and folklore reaserch, Teca Calazans has had noted activity both as performer and composer, having recorded works by Villa-Lobos, Pixinguinha, and old-time sambistas. Her compositions have been recorded by Milton Nascimento, Gal Costa, and Nara Leao. Under the direction of Calazans, this 25 track CD contains happy, fun and authentic Brazilian music for children.
