Colors of Feelings

“The poetry of words and the poetry of music make for a strange alchemy” mused American composer and Juilliard faculty member Lasser, by way of introducing these world premiere recordings. In Colors of Feelings offers vivid settings of poems by handicapped Tennessean writer Carson, who died tragically young. Les Visages de l’Amour treats 6 poetic visions of love by French-language poets. Nicolette et Aucassin is a synthesis of ancient and modern music for 2 sopranos and narrator inspired by a Medieval French “Chantefable”.
