There are certain pieces in the repertoire that every pianist would love to play and record during their career. Among these canonical works are the piano concertos of Frédéric Chopin.; Joseph-Maurice Weder, who won the Swiss Ambassador’s Award in London in 2013, has brought us an interesting perspective on these works: performance of the concertos in piano sextet.; During the Classical and Romantic eras, the practice of transcribing orchestral pieces for chamber ensembles was common. Prior to recordings, this was the most economical way to help compositions reach the most listeners.; Weder performs in this album with the Berlin Camerata.
