C.P.E. Bach: Piano Concertos, Wq. 11, 24, 43/4

Pianist Michael Rische performs these three C.P.E. Bach concertos on a modern piano accompanied by the Berliner Barock Solisten, a modern instrument ensemble founded in 1995 by members of the Berlin Philharmonic. Those who prefer to forgo the sound of the fortepiano will be pleased to hear Mr. Rische’s sparkling, pearly-toned instrument in these elegant, historically informed performances. Hanssler provides excellent sound with the soloist slightly forward and the orchestra beautifully balanced.
