Brahms wrote 196 solo songs with piano accompaniment, but also numerous part songs, choral works with orchestra and ensembles for several solo voices. This reissue of Brahms Lieder features Argentinean mezzo-soprano Bernarda Fink, who has made over fifty recordings for harmonia mundi. In addition to his work with Bernarda Fink, highlights of pianist Roger Vignoles's extensive discography include recitals with Susan Graham (La Belle Epoque), Veronique Gens (Nuits d'etoiles) and Stephan Genz (Beethoven songs, Gramophone Award 1999).
