Berg, Debussy & Wagner: Works for Voice & Piano

In their compositions Wagner, Debussy and Berg looked for ways to modernize and expand traditional tonality. The result, on the one hand, still sounds natural, and on the other hand, quite different, which is what makes for the special charm of this song recital. In addition to operatic stage appearances in recent years in works by Mozart, Donizetti and Oscar Straus, the German soprano Catherine Persicke is a passionate art song advocate. Finnish pianist Pauliina Tukiainen, a former student of Hartmut Höll in Lied interpretation, is heard in accompaniment.
