Following a “Sound of New Orleans” already compiled by Jean Buzelin which featured all the genres of music recorded by Gary Edwards, this is a new compilation drawn from his SONO catalogue but this time covering the brass bands that marched through the streets at every local event: parades, parties, funerals and carnivals. A colorful, invigorating, hot and spicy mix, a unique musical gumbo seasoned with the city’s personal flavor, which gave it the courage to rebuild itself after the tragedy of Katrina.
