60 Years of the Airmen of Note

In 2010 the Airmen of Note proudly celebrated their 60th Anniversary. Rooted in the tradition of Glenn Miller's Army Air Forces Orchestra, this remarkable band has captivated audiences around the globe since 1950. This album chronicles the musical journey of this great ensemble over the past six decades. These selections reflect the 12 distinct 'eras' of the band's leaders- all who uniquely contributed to the success the "Note" enjoys today. You will hear recordings from 1953 to 2010, under the great leaders Sammy Nestico, Bob Bunton, Peter BarenBregge and Joe Jackson, to name a few.
