The First Printed Organ Music

2012 marks the 500-year anniversary of Arnolt Schlick’s Tabulatur etlicher Lobgesang und lidlein. That collection of the first printed works for organ is played in its entirety, along with other German organ music of the period. The program notes in the booklet were written by preeminent Schlick authority Stephen Keyl. Kimberly Marshall is also an authority on this music: her doctorate from Oxford is on medieval organ music.
