Mexican musician Jorge Morenos presents this program of traditional music from the Huasteca and coast of Veracruz. Jorge Morenos is a musician, composer, author, and expert of the Mexican stringed instrument, the jarana. He has performed all over the world, including the US, Canada, Hong Kong, and Costa Rica. The works on this release were composed by Morenos, and they are performed her by an excellent lineup of musicians, including harpist Carmen Carvajal, gambist Alejandro Cardozo, guitarist Mariano Herrera, and several other instrumentalists who are well-versed in traditional Mexican music.
