Mendelssohn, Butilleux, Janácek & Beethoven: Works for Cello

The winner of the 2103 German Music Competition: this is the young cellist Jonas Palm (b. 1993), who is now presenting his debut CD with Genuin. Impressing the competition audience and jury so much with his large, resonant sound, here he plays, with pianist Philip Heiss, the cello sonatas of Beethoven and Mendelssohn, the sound-searching miniatures of Lutosławski and the mysterious tales of Janacek. With his Bachelor Degree studies now complete, Jonas Palm continues in furtherance of his training with Prof. Clemens Hagen at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
