{"product_id":"mayr-giuseppe","title":"Mayr: Giuseppe","description":"Giuseppe was composed by Mayr in 1829 for graduation concerts at the academy of music in Bergamo over which he presided. His inspiration was a Biblical opera that had won great popularity, Mhul's Joseph, which had premiered in Paris in 1807, featuring prayers, hymns, and unassuming arias. Mayr, however, drew on a much wider musical canvas to include grand arias, duets, a cavatina, and a final chorus. He also repeatedly references popular melodies by his contemporaries Donizetti, Rossini, and Bellini, as befits a pasticcio oratorio.","brand":"Naxos","offers":[{"title":"CD","offer_id":52040011317528,"sku":"747313471072","price":19.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0687\/4346\/3192\/files\/4507233-3562896.jpg?v=1778243098","url":"https:\/\/hbdirect.com\/products\/mayr-giuseppe","provider":"HBDirect","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
