LES CONTES DU LUNDI

This CD features a reading by Pierre Bellemare of novels from “Les Contes du Lundi” (Monday’s Tales) by Alphonse Daudet the famous author of “Les Lettres de mon Moulin”. These short novels have been first written during the invasion of France by the Prussian in 1870. They are named so since they were published in the newspapers on Monday, and are a perfect reflection of this period of trouble for France’s people and politic.
