Established in 1956, the Philharmonic “Mihail Jora” of Bacau, Romania, today gathers a group of approximately 70 musicians, of which the best are the chamber orchestra “Tescana”, the members of the renowned “Trio Syrinx”. (Dorel Baicu – flute, Adrian Petrescu – oboe, Pavel Ionescu – bassoon). The repertoire of the orchestra contains parts of symphonic music, vocal-orchestral and chamber, a great variety of periods and musical styles: Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism, Romanticism and Contemporary.
